The next meeting is to be on the 15th March
The speaker will be Simon Dawson who's talk is titled "The Good Life - Business suits to Welly boots, a lighthearted account of his career journey from London to rural Devon. It is an open meeting so all are welcome. Doors open in the school hall at 7p.m.
Katherine Crouch kept us entertained at the February meeting advising us on gardening plantings and techniques for "older gardeners"
The photo above is our exhibit in the Botanical Gardens which as part of the sculpture show, The theme of which was "Magic" was an amazing rabbit emerging from a hat, carrots and many flowers have all been made from recycled waste by other members.
The February walk, near Haytor, with lunch at the Rugglestone Inn on the 15th, again under John White's guidance was well supported despite the freezing weather as you can see in the top photo!!!!
There is to be a cookery demonstration on April 11th to be given by Tim Bouget of Ode. The theme this time is on vegetarian cooking.
On 26th April there is to be a bluebell walk in the grounds of Fursdon House, Cadbury near Exeter. We shall also be having a tour of the house and possibly going to lunch at venues near by.
For those interested in a fun evening our skittles is on the third Wednesday at the British Legion in Kingsteignton at 7pm.
Darts evenings are on the fourth Tuesday at the Conservative club in Shaldon. At the moment the ladies dart's team have made it to the semi finals.
